Job completed for

Old Greenwich CULTEC Stormwater System

Why did the customer contact us?

This customer sourced us for a solution because they were taking on water from all directions. They were incurring water from the neighbor's yards, their own rain gutters were discharging close to their house and pooling aside the foundation and their pre-existing sump pump was not sending collected water far enough away from the house. This is an Old Greenwich property and many Old Greenwich and other shoreline neighborhoods in Greenwich have experienced flooding, especially in recent years. Tropical Storm Ike and Hurricane Ida just a few weeks apart in summer 2021 put many properties over their "tipping point" with flooding.

Solutions provided:

With our engineer, we designed a solution. Our design included a number of features. A gallery of 12 CULTEC 330XLHD stormwater chambers to store an incredible amount of water, new oversized copper gutters rerouted into underground drains, a berm along one landline to keep out surface runoff and a yard drain at a critical low point in the yard that is historically troubled. We also modified and rerouted the pre-existing sump pump to directly tie into our new CULTEC system.
